SPCA of Westchester

The SPCA of Westchester is a no-kill, 501(c)3 not-for-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to saving homeless, abused and abandoned animals and to protecting animals from cruelty and neglect through education and enforcement of humane laws. Founded in 1883, it is the only humane society in Westchester County empowered to enforce laws relating to animal cruelty. The SPCA's services include shelter, rehabilitation and adoption for abused and abandoned animals; cruelty investigations and seizures; low-cost veterinary care and community outreach programs such as Humane Education, Pet Therapy and Pet Safety for victims of domestic violence. The shelter is equipped to house more 150 dogs and cats. Since 1983, the SPCA's low-cost veterinary clinic have spayed/neutered nearly 70,000 dogs and cats thereby greatly reducing the number of unwanted animals in Westchester County. *The SPCA if NOT affiliated with the ASPCA or any other national organization.
