Sheldrick Wildlife Trust USA

For over 45 years, The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust(now known as Sheldrick Wildlife Trust) embraces all measures that compliment the conservation, preservation and protection of wildlife. These include hand-raising infant orphaned elephants and rhinos who have lost their families, anti-poaching operations and aerial surveillance efforts to safeguard the reserve in which wildlife calls home, providing veterinary assistance in the field to animals in need, and providing educational and community awareness opportunities to educate the existing and upcoming generations about wildlife sustainability and conservation. In its 45 year history, Sheldrick Wildlife Trust has successfully raised 282 orphaned elephants, 17 rhinos, and has returned 174 elephants to the wild. It has created 6 mobile teams accounting for thousands of lives saved, operates 11 aircraft and has 22 anti-poaching teams serving the wild places of Kenya.
