Providence House

Mission Statement Providence House protects at-risk children and supports families through crisis, strengthening communities to end child abuse and neglect. Vision Statement Children everywhere are raised in safe, loving families free from abuse and neglect. History and Progress Providence House, Inc. was founded in 1981 to provide emergency shelter for children in Greater Cleveland whose families were experiencing a crisis. We are Ohio's first licensed Crisis Nursery and offer emergency shelter to children, aged newborn through 12-years-old, who live in situations that place them at risk of abuse or neglect, as well as family preservation services for their parents or guardians. In our 39-year history, we have supported over 8,000 children and families in crisis throughout Northeast Ohio.
