The Polk Museum of Art at Florida Southern College is a teaching museum that enhances lives through inspirational and engaging art experiences for all. The Polk Museum of Art, founded in 1966 by a dedicated group of Lakeland, Florida community residents, is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit arts organization and Smithsonian Affiliate accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. It serves 140,000 local and global visitors annually through a diverse schedule of exhibitions and art education programs.
