Oregon Symphony

Since its founding in 1896, the Oregon Symphony has played a central role in the cultural life of Oregon. The organization's vision is bold and adventurous: to inspire audiences with exhilarating performances, present the best musicians in a wide range of styles, explore new art forms, shine light on contemporary issues and build a stronger community. The Symphony has garnered Grammy nominations and international acclaim for its high level of artistry and innovation. More than 225,000 attend Symphony performances annually, and an additional 20 million are reached via local and national radio broadcast. The Symphony's Education and Community Engagement programs bring music alive for Oregonians in schools, community centers, retirement communities and unique venues throughout the state, reaching 40,000 children and adults annually throughout the state.
