As the problem-solving center for residents of San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma, Santa Clara, and San Mateo counties, JFCS is a lifeline for children, families, and older adults facing personal crises or challenges. Whether it's help for a major life transition or support for other challenges, JFCS is here for you. Founded in 1850, JFCS is one of the oldest and largest human service agencies in the United States. JFCS serves people of all faiths and backgrounds with our comprehensive system of care, and helps ensure that the poor, the elderly, and the sick will be cared for and are not alone. We are grateful to the generous donors, businesses, and foundations that enable us to continue this humanitarian work. Our mission: Jewish Family and Children's Services exists to provide professional and volunteer services for the purposes of developing, restoring, and maintaining the competency of families and individuals of all ages.
