Interfaith Works

Our mission is to support our neighbors in need by providing vital services and a pathway to greater stability. The programs of Interfaith Works provide not only basic needs but also a hand up to those struggling in our community. We provide emergency shelters, supportive housing, essential needs, and vocational services programs. Case management and supportive services are built into our program models to make sure that we are equipping those we serve with the tools they need to achieve long-term success. Interfaith Works, formerly known as Community Ministry of Montgomery County, founded in 1972, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency and a non-sectarian interfaith coalition of more the 165 affiliated congregations of diverse faiths, working together to meet the needs of those who are experiencing poverty and/or homelessness in Montgomery County, Maryland.
