House of the Good Shepherd serves with love and compassion women and children affected by domestic violence by offering a safe place with opportunities for emotional, educational and spiritual growth, giving hope and continued support for a better future. Three platforms form the foundation of our work - 1) Stabilization: safe housing and trauma-informed counseling services provided to infants from 6 weeks through 19-years of age, and all adults residing on the domestic violence campus; 2) Education & Enrichment: GED, ESL, financial literacy, life-skills and self-sufficiency programs; and 3) Aftercare program: ongoing support services available to all families that successfully exit our shelter/recovery program. We offer access to a fully licensed, private child care facility. We welcome survivors of violence and abuse regardless of race, ethnic origin, economic status, marital status, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, or physical, cognitive, or developmental ability.
