Hadley Institute for the Blind and Visually Impaired

Hadley's mission is to create personalized learning opportunities that empower adults with vision loss or blindness to thrive - at home, at work and in their communities. In fiscal year 2019, we served more than 172,000 learners in all 50 states and in 65 countries around the world. Hadley's workshops, instructional videos, community discussion groups, and podcasts are free of charge and can be accessed at www.hadley.edu. COVID-19 UPDATE: As Hadley prepares to confront the impending crisis of vision loss as our older generations age and live longer, the organization is utilizing its distance learning capabilities to serve the blind and visually impaired community during the current pandemic. Hadley is filling a large void caused by the necessary closures of senior centers and other service organizations. Visits to the Hadley website have increased by 110%, including a 70% increase in new visitors, and the number of listeners to podcasts has tripled.
