Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte Inc

Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Habitat Charlotte Region bolsters economic mobility and achieves our mission through two core programs: Homeownership and Critical Home Repair (CHR). Our approach differs from other affordable housing providers because we adhere to the philosophy that homeownership creates equity for a family, and is a path to become financially stable. Our programs guide families through making permanent changes that break the cycle of generational poverty, while sweat equity hours and homeownership classes prepare our partner families for the rigors of homeownership. For over three decades, Habitat Charlotte Region has provided affordable homeownership solutions for over 3,300 low income families in Mecklenburg and Iredell counties. In February 2020, Our Towns Habitat and Habitat Charlotte merged into one organization, becoming Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region.
